Questions parents ask
Is physiotherapy available at Dolphin Dive now?
Yes. Physiotherapy is now open at Dolphin Dive Baby Spa & Wellness in London, Ontario. You can book any of our sessions online through Jane anytime.
Who can book physiotherapy at Dolphin Dive?
Everyone. Physiotherapy is available for all ages and all genders, from babies and children to adults and seniors. Our focus areas include postnatal recovery, injury recovery, and pediatric development, but any movement or mobility concern is welcome.
Is physiotherapy covered by insurance?
Physiotherapy at Dolphin Dive is performed by Registered Physiotherapists licensed with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Most extended health plans include physiotherapy coverage, and we will provide insurance-ready receipts. Check your individual plan for details.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. In Ontario you can see a physiotherapist directly without a referral. Some extended health insurance plans require a doctor's note for reimbursement, so check your plan before your first visit.
Do you offer physiotherapy during and after pregnancy?
Yes. Our physiotherapist supports pregnancy and postpartum recovery from a musculoskeletal perspective, including core and abdominal rebuilding, abdominal separation (diastasis recti), and pregnancy-related low back, hip, and sacroiliac joint discomfort, along with education and guidance for your recovery. Please note we do not offer internal pelvic-floor assessment or treatment; concerns such as bladder control are best supported by a physiotherapist rostered in pelvic health.
What can baby and child physiotherapy help with?
Pediatric physiotherapy may help support head-turning preference (torticollis), flat head shape (plagiocephaly), tummy time tolerance, and gross motor milestones like rolling, sitting, crawling, and walking. Sessions are gentle and play-based, and parents are part of every visit.
Does my child need to come back after the first visit?
Often yes, though it depends entirely on what we find. After the initial assessment your physiotherapist will recommend a plan, and baby and child follow-up visits are shorter, 30 minutes, continuing to build on that plan as your little one grows and reaches new milestones.
What should I expect at a first visit?
Your first visit will include a health history review, an individualized assessment, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and a personalized home plan. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. For baby visits, bring a favourite toy and plan around nap time if you can.
